General Information

Heating & Lighting:
There is a log fire in the lounge with a small supply of logs to start you off. If you would like more you can buy them from the local petrol station a few minutes drive away. Please take care when lighting the fire and use the fireguard if unattended.

The house has central heating, with the combi boiler in a cupboard upstairs. It will be timed to go on and off during the day and evening but you can alter to suit your requirements.

If you would like to change this there are instructions in the house notes. Please call Joy on 07733 270711 for further help.

Candles:
The house never looks better than the light of the log fire and candlelight. Please take care when using candles. We have supplied candleholders to be used at all times. Please do not leave candles unattended.

Linen/towels:
Linen and towels are supplied. There is one set of bedding including hypo allergenic duvet and pillows, covers, sheets and pillowcases per bed per week and a dozen bath towels. Please bring more towels with you if required.

Steps:
There are several stair cases as the house is over four levels so please take care with the elderly and young.If you have any concerns we can discuss this at the time of booking.

Children:
We can supply a cot and high chair on request. Please advise us in advance if you would require them. Please bring your own mattress protector and bedding for your baby. We will always welcome children but please beware of the above issues such as steps, open fireplace, hot radiators and a staircase in the house. The front door has access close to the main road and it is advised to keep it locked to ensure children cannot open it. Children in the play area should always be supervised.

Please note the above issues with steps or call us to discuss your concerns.

Basic supplies:
We are happy to supply you with milk, tea, sugar and coffee on arrival. Also some cleaning goods and toilet roll. (With some other goodies around the house.) There is a Tesco store and Co-op both within walking distance and both open until 10pm Monday to Saturday and until 4pm on a Sunday.

Parking:
There are 3 parking spaces in the driveway and there is a car park at the bottom of the road that is free of an evening and roughly 3 for the day.

Bicycles:
We welcome you to bring your bicycles and leave them in the courtyard. Please do not take them in to the house.

Waste/ Rubbish:
Please put rubbish bags in the bins provided at the rear of the property. Thank you.

Shops, Restaurants, pubs.
There are a number of the above in the town. Details of the very best will be left at the house for you.

Banks & cash points:
We have an HSBC open until 4pm Monday - Friday and a Nat West open the same hours plus a Barclays. Most other major branches can be found in the next town a 15 - 20 min drive away. There are a number of cash machines in Ruthin.

Post office:
We have a post office in the town where you can also make some bank transactions.

Doctors/Dentist / Hospital:
There is information in the house of your nearest Doctor, Dentist and Hospital.
